Intensive 12 Week Course

This course is designed to enable the student to gain their BHSPI in only 12 weeks, (subject to availability of BHS examinations). Students need to be competent riders with sound practical care experience in order to gain the full qualification in such a short time. Some less experienced intensive students choose to concentrate on achieving Stage 1, RRS, Stage 2 and PTT during their 12 weeks, with further training needed to achieve the Stage 3. Wellington Riding can offer advice and assistance when choosing a course to suit your needs, your lifestyle, your career aspirations and your budget.

The 12 week course is run as a 5 day week, 7.30am – 5.00pm Tuesday – Saturday, the Saturday concentrating on practical teaching experience. If a student is interested in learning about shows and events, they may gain experience on Mondays, when we have events running. Non-residential students with outside commitments can opt for a shorter day, which can be discussed and the day plan ammended on an individual basis.
