Dear Competitors

Thank you for your entries for this show.  Please read the following information carefully.

Starting Times: Please note that start times are available, as per the printed schedule, from http://www.wellington-riding.co.uk/shows-and-events/#event-times on Monday 5th June (or call 0118 9225371 between 1500 and 1800)

Location: Please use the main entrance for Wellington Riding, which is directly off the A33 at RG27 0LJ. Please drive through the first car park to the main lorry park and adhere to parking signs or steward as space is limited.

Stabling: Overnight stabling for this event is strictly by prior arrangement only.  If you have been allocated a box it will be made available to you from 4pm, for the night booked. Please remember that the stabling fee must be paid on booking and is non-refundable for any reason.  A basic shavings bed is provided with this free and additional shavings can be purchased at £9.60 per bale.  Day stables are subject to availability, at £25 and must be vacated by 4.00pm if needed for an overnight booking

When you arrive please report to the Stables Manager located near the temporary stabling. A £10 clean stable deposit must be paid in CASH on arrival and can be collected, after inspection, prior to departure.  If you are arriving after 6pm this is considered a late arrival and must be arranged by calling 07826 708081. The gates will be locked at 11pm.

Music Classes:  Please come to the Event Office with your CD as soon as you arrive. If you have not already provided notes for the commentator please hand them in with your CD.  All CDs will be available for collection from the Events office after the end of the class. N.B. Music is only accepted on CD.

Arena Walks and Exercise: The International Arena (exercise Arena) is available from 5pm on Wednesday for the duration of the show except Saturday when the International Arena is available from 5pm. The Arena Walks will take place in The Waterloo Arena between 0730 – 0800 every morning. See noticeboard for details of which arena your classes are in.

The Waterloo Arena: This is our new olympic size outdoor arena constructed by Andrews Bowen & surfaced with the Andrews Bowen ProWax surface. It is 100m x 80m Arena (8000m2) of competition space.

Prize giving: All prize giving’s (Unless stated otherwise) will be un-mounted and will take place in the marquee that is located near the Competition arena approximately 10 minutes after the last horse with the exception of Shearwater Young horse/ pony classes which will be presented in the arena following the final judging result.

The Prix St Georges Music Freestyle sponsored by Nirvana Spa is a mounted prize giving from 1st -10th place will take place in the arena approximately 10 minutes after the last horse. Prize winners or their representative MUST attend. Prizes may be withheld from absentees who have not organised a representative – for whatever reason. (Prize winners may be unmounted if they wish)

Prize Monies & Rosettes: All prize monies will be awarded in the form of a prize certificate to be paid by BACs.  All prize certificates must be collected & signed for at the Events office. Please bring bank details with you. For number of rosettes in each class, please see the notice board.

Clubhouse Opening Hours: The Clubhouse will be open from 7:30am every morning and will close at 8.00pm Thursday and Friday & 7.00pm Sunday. The clubhouse will have extended opening hours on Saturday night for the Gala Evening.

Café Opening Hours: 7.30am – 7:45pm Thursday and Friday

7.30am – 9.30pm Saturday

7.30pm-7.00pm Sunday

Breakfast, served from 7.30am each day

Main Menu will be available until 6.30pm Thursday and Friday

6pm Saturday

5.30pm Sunday

Please note, after these times a set menu will be available until closing time, please order before mid-day.

Equine Rebalance Therapy Centre: Part of the transformations at Wellington Riding includes the new Equine Rebalance Therapy Centre. This is a purpose built barn housing the latest Activo-Med water treadmill (with incline option) & Activo-Med cold water spa as well as a private equine rehab / performance livery yard with rider treatment room. The Equine Rebalance Therapy Centre will be offering special Premier League booking discounts for competitors to aid performance & recovery for both horse & rider while competing on-site at Wellington Riding. The Rider Treatment room will have physio & rider biomechanic sessions by Clare Howard of the The Balanced Rider (07792569476), sport massage & 1-2-1 equine pilates with Nicki Clarke (07748704702) & mindset performance coaching sessions with Jenni Winter of Flying Changes Coaching (07816981202).

Facilities:  Toilets, showers & snack and drink machines are available 24/7 on the lower floor of the main reception building.  These may be accessed from either end of the lower floor via the double doors.

Dogs:  Dogs are welcome but should be kept on a lead at all times including in the car park & stabling area.  They are not allowed into the first floor reception and indoor café but may be taken into the lower floor adjacent to the Events office and the external viewing area.

Smoking:  Wellington Riding is a no-smoking venue.  Smoking is only permitted in the carpark area which does not include the temporary stabling area.

Local Accommodation:

 

Please note the main electric gates are locked between 2300hrs & 0700hrs.  There will be no access during this time.
