Unaffiliated Classes

Transfers can only be accepted if withdrawal received before the start of the show.

Can only be used for another unaffiliated event.

British Showjumping 

Please be aware fees for pre-entries must be paid in full in advance and we may not allow entries on the day.

 50% of total entry fees may be returned to those whose withdrawal is received not later than 48 hours before noon of the day on which the first affiliated competition of the show is scheduled to start.

Transfers can only be accepted if withdrawal received before the start of the show.

Withdrawals during the day and after the event will not be transferred.

Affiliated transfers must only be used for another affiliated event.

First aid fees will not be transferred.

British Dressage 

No transfers for British Dressage.

No refund will be made to those withdrawing after the close of entries.

50% of total entry fees will be returned to those whose withdrawal is received before the close of entries, and confirmed in writing.

Schooling

No refunds or transfers after booking. If notification of cancellation is given more than 48 hours in advance a transfer can be offered only where a space can be filled from the Wait List. With less than 48 hours’ notice no transfers are offered.

Stabling 

No refunds or transfers after booking.

Transfer Details 

A transfer is valid for 6 months from the date of the original show and must be taken as a whole sum; any difference in fees must be paid for.

To redeem a transfer please email shows@wellington-riding.co.uk with the details of the new show date and entry.

Having a transfer does not guarantee an entry if the show is full or is received after close of entries. Please abide by normal show rules and ask for your transfer early and before close of entries to avoid disappointment.

Accounting Procedures 

Pre Entries (Showjumping)

Pre entries close at noon the day before the show. After this time entries may accepted on the day depending on space, only in person and not by phone or email.

No entries will not be accepted by telephone or email.

Please note entries for all classes may be capped at 45 entries. Updates will be posted on our Facebook page ‘Wellington Riding School’ throughout the day.

Entries are not accepted without payment (apart from entries on-account below)

Horse and Rider British Showjumping registration numbers must be provided with your entry. 

Entries (Dressage)

Dressage entries are pre-entry only. Please check the close of entry time carefully. Late entries are accepted depending on availability with a £5 late entry fee.

Pre-entries. We do not accept email entries.

Entries on-account (Showjumping only)

We will allow entries to be kept open until the end of the show only where payment details can be provided. Entry fees will be deducted at the end of each day using the details provided unless the account is closed in person using alternative payment.

We do not accept cheques

Prize money/ entry fee (Contra / Showjumping only)

All prize money is paid by BACS to the rider. Bank account number and sort code must be provided for this purpose. Prize money is usually paid a few days following the close of the show.

Deducting prize money from entry fees owed is only allowed where there is an open account (see above).

Entry fees must be paid in full on the day of the competition.

An entry constitutes agreement to abide by the procedures above.

Wellington Riding Rules & Regulations

Rules pertaining to the Health & Safety of all persons at Wellington Riding.

1) All competitors should wear a correctly fastened hat to the current BSI Standards at all times when mounted on the show ground. 

2) All dogs should be kept on a lead at all times. 

3) All horses or ponies, when outside the arena, should be moved at walk only, to ensure the safety of all spectators and pedestrians.

 4) Children under the age of 16 years should be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 yrs, who will be held responsible for their behavior and welfare. 

5) Please note that flash photography is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones should be switched off during competitions.

6) Smoking is prohibited anywhere on site.

7) Please Keep the lorry park clear of hay and droppings.

8) For safety reasons, the gate across the main driveway must be kept closed at all times.  Although every effort will be made to ensure the safety of participants, horse riding is a risk sport and therefore, Wellington Riding and its staff cannot accept responsibility for any accident, damage or injury to horses, riders, owners or other persons or property.
